NATIONWIDE DJ CONTEST FOR GAY DAYS 2008 ANNOUCED

 

Due to the overwhelming response, GLBT Radio Network has extended the entry deadline for our National DJ contest for Gay Days 2008! Contestants wishing to enter the contest must submit their entries no later than January 14, 2008. Over 100 entries have been received so far! This is an unprecedented opportunity. Never before has a National circuit event offered up and coming DJ’s the opportunity to showcase their talent to such a large audience.

ANNOUNCE NATIONWIDE DJ CONTEST

GAY DAYS 2008

Fort Lauderdale / Orlando, FL. - November 30, 2007– GLBT Radio Network and Gay Days, Inc. announced today a nationwide contest for DJ's across America to compete for a chance to spin their very own pool party at the host hotel, Royal Plaza, during Gay Days 2008.

Under the terms of the exclusive partnership, popular dance radio station GayInternetRadioLive.com will produce seven pool parties sponsored by Bud Light for the 18th annual Gay Days celebration in Orlando. In addition, GayInternetRadioLive.com will hold a nationwide contest for DJ's across America to compete for a chance to spin their very own pool party at the Royal Plaza Hotel.

Contestants will have some impressive alumni to prove they have what it takes to spin a major circuit event. GayInternetRadioLive.com features some of the nations most recognizable names on the DJ circuit such as Eddie Baez, Joe Gauthreaux, Reed McGowan, Herbie James, Randy Bettis, and many more.

“We are very excited about Gay Days 2008. This contest is unprecedented and could turn out to be a Cinderella story for the winners. We're looking for DJ's from big towns, small towns, Palm Springs to New York, from everywhere across America. ”, said Christopher Leonard, President and CEO of GLBT Radio Network.

Entries will be accepted through December 24, 2007 and limited to 24 participants. Three winners will be chosen from the competitors. The contest is set to begin January 2, 2008 and run for three months, ending March 31, 2008. Each week, listeners will vote for their favorites until the final three are selected.
