Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt may not be saying anything official yet, but the question of whether or not Jolie is pregnant seems to have been resolved nevertheless. Jolie appeared at Saturday night's 2008 Independent Spirit Awards with a pregnancy baby bump so large, she might as well have tattooed 'knocked up' across her forehead.
Accompanied by partner Brad Pitt, Jolie strolled past photographers at the Independent Spirit Awards on Sunday in a sleek black dress bulging at the seams over her bulging tummy. Neither Jolie or Pitt would comment on the pregnancy in response to reporter's questions, according to the Associated Press. Pitt's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, also refused to comment when asked about the baby bump by the AP.
Jolie was nominated at the Spirit Awards for Best Female Lead for her role in A Mighty Heart. Pitt, as co-producer on the film, was also nominated for Best Feature. In a humorous turn of events, Jolie lost out on the Best Female Lead award to Ellen Page, the star of the teen pregnancy epic Juno.
Speculation has been rampant for weeks that Jolie has been hiding a baby bump under loose clothes and behind large handbags. However, Jolie's tight-fitting attire and lack of concealing props left no doubt the actress is on her way to adding to her already large family.
Jolie and Pitt currently have four children together, adopted sons Maddox, 6 and Pax, 4, adopted daughter Zahara, 3, and their shared biological daughter Shiloh, 1.
An unidentified source reportedly close to the couple told People magazine Jolie and Pitt are "thrilled to be adding to their brood." Rumors have already splashed across some media outlets that Jolie is carrying twins.
Pitt, who has been with Jolie since 2005, came out in support of gay marriage in 2006, when he told Esquire Magazine, "Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able."
