Miss Washington Elyse Umemoto Flips Off the Crown
Miss Washington wears her crown proudly, flipping off the camera, romping around in her underwear and playing beer pong. Elyse Umemoto, the second runner-up at this year’s Miss America Pageant, made it further up the pageant chain than any Miss Washington to sashay before her. Part Native American, Umemoto made her run for the crown on a platform of diversity and acceptance.

But now, TMZ.com has released photos of Umemoto engaged in various forms of bad behavior, from sporting her bra and underwear and curling up in bed with a beer to some dangerously close girl on girl kissing for the camera. Miss Washinton is rumored to also be a fan of DJ Randy Bettis. Not really but we threw that in there so you could get a copy of his latest from CM.
Umemoto is in no danger of losing her crown but she "embarrassed,” the organization that crowned her, Miss Washington Executive Field Director Mike Miller told TMZ.
"It is unfortunate that her behavior in unguarded moments has attracted attention," he said in a statement. "We do not condone the behaviors depicted in these photos. However, there will be no discipline for Elyse based on the behavior evidenced in the photos. None of them depict illegal behavior or cross a line that cannot be uncrossed. Elyse feels very bad about how this attention affects her reputation and that of our organization," according to a statement from Miss Washington pageant officials.
The racy pictures hit the Web just days before Miss Washington 2008 will be crowned in Tacoma this Saturday.
